1. Visual Inspection
First, observe the surface of the flooring to ensure it is smooth and free of defects such as bubbles, cracks, and scratches. High-quality PVC sports flooring should have a uniform surface without obvious impurities or defects. Second, check if the color of the flooring is pure and uniform. Color variations or a dull color may indicate substandard quality. Additionally, observe if the edges of the flooring are neat and if the joints are tight and seamless.

2. Odor Inspection
Open the packaging and smell the flooring for a pungent odor. A strong, pungent odor may indicate the addition of harmful substances such as formaldehyde during production. Such flooring does not meet environmental standards and should not be purchased. High-quality PVC sports flooring should have only a slight plastic odor or almost no odor.

3. Combustion Test
Under safe conditions, take a small sample of the flooring for a combustion test. PVC material has a certain degree of flame retardancy and will self-extinguish after being removed from the flame source. If the flooring sample burns rapidly and produces a large amount of black smoke and a pungent odor, it indicates a potential quality problem. Meanwhile, observe the residue after burning. If the residue contains lumps, impurities, or other abnormalities, it may indicate poor flooring quality.

4. Bending Test: Bend the flooring sample appropriately by hand and observe its flexibility and flexural strength. High-quality PVC sports flooring should have good flexibility and should not break or delaminate when bent. If the flooring breaks easily during bending, it indicates poor material toughness and may be of substandard quality.

5. Slip Resistance Test: Sprinkle some water on the floor surface and walk on it to feel its slip resistance. High-quality PVC sports flooring provides sufficient friction even when wet, without noticeable slippage. If you easily slip on a wet floor, its slip resistance is insufficient.

6. Check the Test Report: Reputable PVC sports flooring manufacturers provide product test reports, which prove whether the flooring's performance indicators meet relevant standards. When purchasing flooring, you can ask the seller to provide the product's test report and carefully review the test results in the report, such as environmental protection indicators, wear resistance, and anti-slip performance, to ensure that you are buying a qualified product.
